Apartment complexes and condominiums provide housing solutions for residents that maintain lifestyles where owning a house or caring for a yard is more work than it is enjoyable. Singles, young couples and small families are often the kinds of people found living in apartments and condos. The convenience of living in a space that offers amenities such as a clubhouse, on site workout room or swimming pool without residents having to worry about cutting the grass, shoveling snow or maintaining the property is appealing to many people. Association fees for condominiums include all of the care for the property while giving the owners a community to socialize and exercise in.

Last summer I spent four months living in an upscale apartment complex that offered a gated community with a large swimming pool and hot tub as well as a patio for barbequing and an exercise room with body building machines, cross county ski machines, treadmills for running, stationary bicycles and free weights. There was also a clubhouse that offered tanning beds and billiards to residents and their guests. Another area of the clubhouse had two stations set up for computer and internet access with the rental offices were housed on the opposite side of the clubhouse. Everyday I would wake up and head over to the gym for a forty five minute workout, then I would do yoga by the pool and finish my routine with a swim before getting ready for work. My schedule did not permit me to worry about the grounds keeping or pool cleaning and I certainly did not have time to do the maintenance around my apartment. I was grateful to those that did and often engaged in conversation will a few of the staff that ran the office and maintained the grounds.

It was a very different experience living in a lavish apartment complex than living in my home. Although I was away on a temporary assignment I quickly came to enjoy the benefits of the amenities offered by the Salt Lake property management team that took care of the complex. The dedicated group of professionals that made up the Salt Lake property management team all knew and respected the buildings, the grounds and the residents that made up the apartment complex. Everything was orderly and clean. Water coolers were always filled and the grass was manicured each week. Even the parking lot was clear as I pointed out to a coworker as I walked barefoot from the pool to my apartment. Although they were behind the scenes most of the time I know that the property management company made my living environment the best experience for their residents especially as I was away from my home.
